History

The history of the company dates back to the year 1887, when the company was founded in Annaberg under the name Simon & Strauß. Their main products were trimmings and tassels.

In 1936 the company was sold to Porschen & Co, whose headquarters were in Cologne until 1948, when Porschen moved to Wuppertal, a town well known for its band- and ribbon-industry.
